Description: "After performing Odisea, the magnificent cuatro concerto by Gonzalo Grau, I had the honor of playing this encore, an improvisation inspired by Pajarillo, one of the most iconic forms of Venezuelan llanera music. To introduce this piece, I wove together fragments of some of my favorite classical masterpieces, paying tribute to legendary composers. This piece represents a dialogue between classical music and Venezuelan traditions, reaffirming that the cuatro is a universal instrument that transcends cultures and styles" (Jorge Glem).
