Description: Performance and installation by Venezuelan multidisciplinary artist Deborah Castillo (Caracas, 1971), presented at the Museo Universitario del Chopo (UNAM), Mexico City, June 15–26, 2022. The work consists of three consecutive actions in which the artist attacks wet clay busts of authoritarian Latin American figures, interrogating the iconography of the caudillo and the patriarchal monument. Part of an international series previously staged in the United States and Brazil.
